Pair of Early 20th Century Anglo Indian Hand Carved Hardwood Side Tables

£26500

A wonderfully decorative pair of early 20th century Anglo-Indian carved hardwood occasional tables, featuring beautifully hand carved floral and foliate decoration throughout.

Each table is crafted from solid hardwood with scalloped tops, hand turned legs and matching carved lower tiers. The carved surfaces display excellent aged patina and honest wear acquired over decades of use, particularly to the original darkened centre reserves which now show a beautifully time-softened appearance.

An especially charming detail is the way the shaped tops complement one another when placed side by side, suggesting they were designed as a true companion pair rather than simply matching tables.

Full of character and atmosphere, these versatile pieces work wonderfully as side tables, lamp tables, plant stands or decorative accent pieces and sit perfectly within colonial, maximalist, bohemian or dark academia interiors.
Nice examples with genuine age and presence.
