Vintage globe table lamp - elephant table lamp - Ceylon

Vintage globe table lamp - elephant table lamp - Ceylon. Produced in Ceylon, now known as Sri Lanka. Likely to have been produced pre 1972. I believe Ceylon gained independance in 1948 and changed it's name in the early 70's when it became a republic. Beautiful handmade lamp, naively assembled but that's part of it's charm. Featuring a hand carved Elephant and a croc. Glass globe shade held in to place with a spring loaded clip located under th bulb holder. There is a slight wobble to the globe but it's secure. New inline switch and 13amp plug. Fully functional. Please expect some wear, chips consistant with age. Collection welcome
