Rare Swedish Mid Century Cane Armchair, c.1940s–50s, Stained Beech Bentwood & Spindle Chair
is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Beautiful and unusually distinctive Swedish mid-century armchair, dating to around 1940–1950.
Constructed in stained beech, the chair features beautifully curved bentwood arms, an open spindle back and a wonderfully executed cane seat and backrest. The proportions are particularly elegant, giving the chair a light and sculptural appearance while remaining very comfortable and practical.
The cane to the seat area has been sympathetically renewed and is in excellent condition. A lovely example of Scandinavian furniture design, with a wonderfully understated character and an uncommon form.
