A pair of antique French wall sconces in solid brass, dating to around 1900.
Each features a foliate backplate with a scrolling arm and suspended crystal basket. The baskets are hand-built from a brass wire frame wrapped in fine beadwork and mounted with individually wired faceted glass crystals — an earlier method of construction that gives them a softer, more refined character than later factory examples.
The brass retains a warm, natural patina, and the crystal remains bright and well balanced. Rooted in the Louis XVI revival taste popular at the turn of the 20th century, they sit comfortably in both period and contemporary interiors.
Wired to modern standards and ready for installation.
