French Louis Philippe Style Mirror, 19th Century Faux Bois Painted Composition Frame, Antique Foxed Glass Wall Mirror
is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
A handsome French Louis-Philippe-style mirror, featuring a substantial arched frame with a beautifully aged faux bois finish, hand-painted to imitate figured timber.
The frame is formed over a timber construction, with a decorative plaster or composition surface and traditional wooden retaining blocks securing the mirror plate.
The glass displays attractive areas of foxing, while the frame retains plenty of character through its worn finish and signs of age.
A lovely decorative piece for a period interior, above a fireplace or console, or as a statement mirror in a more eclectic setting.
