Raised on a substantial stepped hexagonal base with elegant scrolling supports and a finely turned central column, the lamp displays the bold architectural influence of Renaissance Revival design. Traces of the original parcel gilt decoration remain throughout, beautifully softened by decades of honest wear, complementing the rich tones and character of the walnut.
The original ceramic and brass toggle switch has been retained, while the lamp has been professionally rewired with new cable/bulb holder, ready for everyday use.
