A late 19th century wall mirror, dating to circa 1890, featuring a deeply hand-carved solid hardwood frame, likely walnut.
The frame is decorated with bold foliate scrolls and acanthus leaf carving in strong relief, reflecting Renaissance Revival influences typical of the Victorian period. The carving is crisp and well defined, with excellent depth and weight throughout.
The mirror retains its antique mercury-backed plate, attractively foxed with age, adding warmth and character while remaining functional.
Presented in good antique condition, with surface wear and patina consistent with age. Structurally sound and ready to hang.
