Antique Aesthetic Movement Ebonised Wall Mirror with Shelf, English, c.1880
A refined example of late Victorian Aesthetic Movement design — architectural/gothic in feeling and quietly decorative. The ebonised wood frame features turned faux-bamboo supports, carved corner blocks and a pierced (fret-cut) gallery rail around the shelf. The mirror is bevelled and set into the gallery back, creating a compact but handsome mirror/etagère ideal for an entrance, bedroom or dressing area.
Original finish with expected signs of age and surface wear consistent with use (small knocks to ebonised surface and light foxing to mirror possible). Structurally sound.
