Superb 19th century neoclassical - empire style pier marble top veneer cabinet with brass inlay and marquetry.
A very impressive statement piece with exquisitely detailed brass inlay and ornate fittings throughout. The cabinet has undergone sensible and sympathetic restoration with all of its age related patina/wear retained. There are various imperfections as to be expected with used furniture of this age(1850-1880)
Including superficial cracking to the veneer, a blunt scatch to the door and across the brass inlay, a natural age related split to one side, a missing piece of brass inlay trim to one side(colour matched with brass paint) and some repairs to one foot. See images. Any signs of woodworm are historic and have been treated at a precaution.
Overall an outstanding piece of original antique furniture. 2 keys and original lock.
