A characterful cast iron table with an unusually decorative architectural base, topped with a substantial piece of reclaimed oak timber.
The cast iron frame features scrolling details, pierced panels and an X-braced stretcher, retaining the aged pale blue paint and plenty of natural wear. The combination of the ornate ironwork and simple, weathered timber top gives it a great balance between industrial and country-house character.
The ironwork appears to date from early 20th century, we've deliberately left the aged finish and honest marks intact rather than over-restoring it, moss from exterior use. All of which could be easily cleaned if desired.
At 95cm wide × 41cm deep × 73cm high, it would make a particularly useful compact kitchen table, breakfast table, console, hall table or perhaps a striking piece for a shop, studio or garden room.
