19th Century French Louis XVI Style Caned Oak Armchair. A hansome example featuring a scroll carved crest and turned spindled gallery.
The cane work to the seat and backrest look to have been recently replaced and there have been repairs/ reinforcement mainly to the underside of the seat, there are traces of adhesive used in securing the canework with screws/batons for structual support(pictured).
The chair still looks superb and is solid and functional. All flaws acknowledged and priced accordingly.
